Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR)
Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR) is a synthetic polymer wildly used in automotive industry. It not only maintains the characteristics of NBR, but also with higher degree of heat, chemical and ozone resistance than NBR. Hydrogenated Nitrile displays great performance in wearing during dynamic operation. HNBR is used at temperature between -40°C~150°C.
Advantage
- Great oil resistance (up to 150°C, including the gear oil with extreme pressure additive)
- Great heat resistance at 150°C or higher
- High mechanical strength and high tensile strength
Disadvantage
- No applicable to polar solvent, such as ester, ether, ketone and aniline
- It is not Aromatic Hydrocarbon and Chlorinated Hydrocarbon resistance
